On Tuesday, June 24th, Republican Gubernatorial candidate Roy Brown challenged Governor Brian Schweitzer to join him at 18 debates around Montana.  The proposed debate locations were suggested for their geographic diversity, with the hope that a large number of Montanans would be able to hear directly from the candidates as to where they stand on the issues.

Unfortunately, Governor Schweitzer only wants to debate in five of the largest urban areas where he gets the large majority of his votes.  For the full story, click here.

Roy believes that Montanans should have a chance to see the candidates and judge for themselves, and offered to be flexible and work with the Governor's schedule to make these debates happen.  Below are the locations and dates Roy proposed for possible debates with the Governor:

Energy Roadmap Roy in the News Transparency in Government
Montana has the potential to be a national leader in energy development and reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign sources of energy. Montanans deserve to know who’s influencing their government. During my time in the legislature, I introduced legislation to make elected officials more accountable to their constituents. The Schweitzer administration has flaunted its power, and I want to clean up the problems they’ve created.
